Der feinsandige, an den Darßwald grenzende Strand bietet auf etwa 14 Kilometern Länge eine reizvolle Verbindung von maritim geprägter Atmosphäre mit urwüchsiger Natürlichkeit. Hier entdeckt man wilde Pflanzen, umgestürzte Bäume und naturbelassene Dünen.
